OFF CAMERA FLASH WORKSHOP FOR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS
Led by renowned wedding photographers Michael Lundbeck and Edmund Shum, this focused course will guide you through preparing for winter weddings, selecting the right equipment, and utilizing it for optimal results.
In the practical afternoon session at a nearby wedding venue, you'll engage in shooting indoor portraits using both continuous lighting and off-camera flash. Michael and Edmund will showcase the use of various lighting tools, including grids, gels, softboxes, and umbrellas, emphasizing the technical mastery of lighting to foster creativity in your work.
Regardless of the camera brand you use—be it Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fuji, or others—the course centers on the essential principles of off-camera lighting, applicable across all systems. To streamline the session and minimize equipment changes, participants will use Michael and Edmund's camera and flash setup, inserting their own memory cards to retain their images. While bringing your own equipment is encouraged, assistance will be available to align your gear's settings with the day's requirements.

We use many different locations around Bridgend south Wales. We will email around 2 to 4 weeks before the event with all the details on.

This course is designed to accommodate skill levels ranging from intermediate to advanced. To make the most of the learning opportunities provided during this session, it's essential to have a strong grasp of your camera and its settings.

Camera – full or crop frame. Lenses from around 24mm to 100mm, a 70-200 would also be a useful lens for this workshop but not essential. A sturdy tripod and cable release.
We have triggers for all makes of cameras and will be using our speedlights off camera.
